40K 2nd edition Orks
« on: 16 August 2021, 11:48:27 PM »
Me and my brother have been digging out old 40K stuff
We are in the middle of our first game my orks V his space wolfs
I found out that I am short of armour support
my army is old and didn't want to buy anything new
So I though I would build some
First a Dreadnought

Some more detail to add then painting trying to work out how to construct a missle launcher

That's exactly how Ork vehicles should be made! Good job so far.

Lovely kitbashing project, but surely a proper 2nd edition ork dread would be a full-color 2D cardboard standee, wouldn't it?  Ably supported in battle by rank after rank of identically-posed Goff boyz and grots with autoguns of course.  :)

Sometimes I miss those days when GW was still just slightly evil, but I have to admit the more modern version of the company has brought us things like that runt-in-a-backpack loader (from the Loota/Burna kit, for anyone wondering) and the unalloyed joy of plastic Sisters of Battle.

I have all the orks and gretchin and they have never seen a paint brush, I couldn't face painting the same figure that many times :D

I hear you.  Think I painted about 20 of the 60 I had way back when before crippling ennui set in.  So boring...

Great stuff, mate.
Very RT in spirit and that 'eyepatch' is a touch of genius and fits in perfectly.
