Thanks! I re-uploaded new pictures today as the matt varnished had cured over night.

The minis were painted with regular Army Painted and Vallejo paints, Army painted washes, a black oil paint wash, Dirty Down streaking grime and Daler Rowney Inks. Most of it painted by airbrush followed by various amount of washes and varnishing in between.

"The Winged one" from the Conqueror expansion painted up. This mini was something that really required a sudden burst of inspiration to get painted. Initially I thought this was the least interesting and most unappealing mini from the whole Conqueror set. However, this evening I finally decided how to paint it, and ended up going in a less dark colored direction. Pretty happy with the end result, and while the mini is still goofy and brings that Simpsons episode to mind where Mr. Burns sends out his flying monkeys (to their death), it really makes a huge difference putting some paint on the gray plastic.

Thanks again guys!

This is the final "mini" in my current Conan the board game collection, the Nameless Horror. Very difficult miniature to paint and to photograph as camera focus was all over the place. Hopefully the Monolith store will open soon so I can get the few sets that I am still missing.

This is all great! I even like the winged ape - with your paint job he does not look goofy at all to my eyes.

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

It feels strange to not have a painting queue for the first time in 15 months... realized I have a bunch of other minis from various places and different games to paint which had been all but forgotten  lol

Will perhaps take a short break before I jump onto the next project (I have some very nice Westfalia miniatures "medieval Star Wars" minis from their Kickstarter).

And then hopefully Mythic Games will open their online store and have some of the items I am missing available. That store has been talked about for YEARS  ::) So it will probably be a bum rush of thousands of eager customers once it opens  lol

As fortune would have it, I was able to fully complete my Conan collection with all the items I had been missing up until now (all collectors boxes, the dragon, black ones, red brotherhood, hidden chambers, shadow kingdoms). I will be sharing pictures as I paint up this last batch of minis for my collection, hope to have them all done in before the end of august.

Finished this pair today, Conan the Thief and Belit Queen of the Black coast from the "Brom" collectors box.

It was extremely tricky to clean the female minis in all collectors boxes from mould lines....

Thanks Grumpy Gnome!

Finished the Dragon this morning, quite hard to take pictures of this model with such light as to not have it look completely grey and drybrushed. Painted mainly with oil and enamel washes. Conan for size comparison. I was suprised at how small the model was as the box for it was huge (and also smaller than what I imagined from reading the Red Nails story). It also did not come with a base, which is quite rare for minis in the Conan collection.

King Conan and Belit the princess from the Xavier Colette collectors box painted up. This may be my favorite Belit sculpt in the game so far. Also great to have an aged Conan.

Two years of painting! I backed Kings and gave up after the terrain, undead, and picts. :P

Well, sort of. Turns out the Kings Pledge has enough melee and ranged mini's for various enemies in "Five League from the Borderlands" and probably "Sellswords and Spellslingers". Here's actually a free download for a Conan campaign for S&S!
