Cheers guys.

Has.been two of the cows are irregular the rest are 3d prints from ebay, just got some more ever s slightly bigger which I think are a better fit. The irregular ones are ok, the pack pony is probably the best of the useful bits.

Thanks for that Rogerc. I don't have access to 3d printing, so will settle for Irregular for the moment.
Hoping to scratch my 40mm itch this year with ACW skirmish. That might be as far as it goes, who knows.

Fantastic figures and game table, wonderful! Have you tried "Valour and Fortitude" from the Perry?

Hi Juan, I havent tried valour and fortitude no, I assumed they were aimed at Divisions/Corps like most rules. My 5 battalions a side max would probably not be a good fit. That said if you think it might be a good fit happy to give it a try.

has.been the 3d prints are pre-printed, I dont have a printer either your just getting good quality resin instead of metal. Much nicer sculpts. have a look at this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386176453810?hash=item59e9e90cb2:g:iRgAAOSwYe1lIXgM&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4IcEFLlv6M%2BGdNOwGF2DHsdX8wgRA8Krr5PTgL0rhtBbY5MVXF2AYiyEZH6TypoD9cL3sJuNGg%2FoZ2cRzt9jtn11Gp93Ow0FU39ubjApXYUbt97mYe3HIryDOiPZbVw%2FEWFCMJlAOHCjfWI42n3VUjBJCE%2FBtzGbD5ALl8sbDKYK3VFL6gGZwGMIIX%2Fn6WhqEmQs5uVWjwJK8MsMgN0vw0j9gaFNpbEl2Hwz%2BI213W8nubK0ifcDZhNhC2kpWJ6xRJbm%2F3L4497OrWaIbX83vQL%2BeKp1aCapx70vSnGPPabs%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8z156OZYw

The ones on table are a different 1/48 set which are nice, these ones I have but yet to paint, slightly bigger and more robust than the others. There are also pre-painted 0 gauge cattle for railways that might be a good fit. I just prefer to paint my own.

Another option I have just found, get an stl file and have it printed, I use Sabotag3d who printed lovely 40mm figures from Piano wargames, they have a file of cattle here https://pianowargames.de/products/cows-stl

wish I had found them sooner.

never done the 'getting someone to print' thing.
It is the way to go though.
And to think I used to think of Star Trek's replicators as, well, fiction.  lol

Well I admit it blagged my head for a while but there are plenty of small businesses out there that cater specifically to our hobby.

I used Paul at Sabotag3d and find him great. Buy the file, email to printer, get a quote for how many you want and off you go. As I was changing the scale from 28mm to 40mm we needed to print some samples to get the scale to match Perry's and check the quality was good but end result is brill.

Cost wise its been pretty good, cheaper than metal if you use the file more than once as I have with the Hessians(file with 6 marching printed 6 times to give me 36 marching figures, cost of file is paid once and split over the 36) figures printed , and if I had spotted them sooner I would have bought the STL file for these Piano Miniature cows and had them printed too.
