Would love to get a better look at those miniatures in the first post especially the one holding the pistol in both hands. What make and scale is he?

Commandos in caps comforters? Hard to go past the Wargames Foundry versions.

Yup, but much as I like them….they are small compared with my other minis.

For now as said, I’ve ordered a few Black Tree, including silenced stens and snipers.  I don’t have any Black Tree minis…I’m hoping they are a little taller than Foundry.

Anyway, enough talk on minis….plenty of time to get them assembled and painted.  I need to start concentrating on scenery and objectives.

For the pen, I’m tempted to simply make the structure from timber.   How I then dress it, I can worry about, afterwards.    Going to start sketching…..

They should fit. I bought a few BTD figures years ago when there was a local stockist and they fitted well with Copplestone, Artizan etc.

The Black Tree Commandos are good....no need to worry on that score.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :

figures painted: 57

Apart from how long it will take for them to arrive it seems….

Christmas present to get us started, Empress U-boat.

I love the model, though I suspect the mould has seen better days!   Not sure my green stuff abilities are up to the job but it is in need of a lot of gap filling and making up, especially where the conning tower meets the hull or the two spec track sections meet.    I will however give it a go and I’m sure it will look just fine for what I have in mind….

Cheers…..tbh, this is simply a piece of scenery so I’m not looking for perfection.   The gaps are sanded, and not looking too bad.  Once proper paint is applied they won’t bother me.

Simple grey primer added and it’s starting to look like a boat!  It needs the rest of the metalwork dressing then  I will spray it black first then use brushes as I don’t have an air gun room.
