Looks really cool! Small scales are not usually my cup of tea but you've done a solid job with your force.

Looks great, very well done!

I played a little WMR over Christmas, and I agree that some of the rules/interactions are pretty hard to fathom if you're learning from scratch.

My own dice rolls are generally and inopportunely awful, and I found that having the maximum number of characters was very helpful in getting the army to go where and do what I needed it to. Locating heroes such that you don't incur the -1 Ld penalty for being over 20cm away when ordering a unit, and ensuring that after a move the unit is still with 20cm for a second order, is a skill worth mastering. Sure, the second order is still harder to give, but at least it's a smaller penalty that it could be. That said, I still managed to fail every command roll on my first turn...  o_o

Anyway, it's a cool game, and I love little teeny-tiny models.  :)

I don't own a copy of Warmaster but was always curious about it... I do own a copy of each of the ____Commander games (Blitzkrieg Commander, Cold War Commander, Future War Commander), which definitely take some inspiration rules-wise from Warmaster.

@ Hupp n at em:

Here you go: link  ;)

@ Knight-Captain Tyr:

Handily, the basing conventions for Warmaster are very similar to those of other 10-15mm Ancients games, which means that in a pinch you can also use the same models for other games if you like - just need suitable army lists/rules. As an example, Mortem et Gloriam has a some unofficial army lists for two different Fantasy worlds here. Not suggesting you should abandon playing Warmaster or anything like that, but just to throw out some other options in case you fancy them.  :)

Lovely work on these: 10mm really gives a sense of epic battles.

Thanks, guys!

@fred, @Major Gilbear - thanks chaps! Really good comments. WMR does take al ittle getting used to but I'll persevere. Also gonna check out Mortem et Gloriam - looks interesting!

You know you've reached a new level of hobby pedantry when you start sculpting fashion accessories on your little 10mm dudes just because their 28mm big brothers have a thing for fur pelts.
