Some lovely kitbashing there, but I especially like the corsairs.

Indeed, they look great! The Sudanese and afghans combine a treat.

Thanks a lot guys!

Ogrob: It's actually parts from the Zulu kit but funny thing - I actually ordered a Sudanese kit as well! It's a great kit with a lot of options - I will use some parts for pirates (mainly robed bodies and some heads) and some of the bare arms as well as the shaved and gnarly heads with bad teeth for both pirates and some future bandits/brigands, so stay tuned!  :D

I'ts finally time for an update! Since I've been sidetracked by my main AWI project as well as my Samurai wars project this one has fallen behind... until now! I'm currently working on some Essos warbands - tribal warriors and Arabian/Haradrarim-inspired sellswords. They are all built and primed so stay tuned. I've also ordered some of Perry's mounted men at arms and they will be built as lancers from the Windblown sellsword company.

But, last night I built and painted these guys! Built using Roman bodies and arms from Victrix , Perry 15th century Italian heads (and one wounded head from a AWI kit) as well as Perry Afghan shields. I just kinda built these on the go with no particular plan in mind but I think they look pretty good and would fit right in in the GoT universe, don't you agree?  I imagine them being mercenaries or professional soldiers of any of the Free Cities or beyond - any ideas? Currntly working one five more and planning some cavalry as well.

Those look great!  I think your choice of parts really nails the "similar but different" requirement for Essos.  The way George describes it, it's somewhat like the difference between medieval England and medieval Sicily or Greece, but more extreme.

These are outstanding.  Very nice paint.

Amazing work! These are really effective kitbashes!

They'd fit right in with the legions of New Ghis in Essos!
