A friend of mine has it and I've played it twice, so still early days, please bear that in mind reading my comments.

I've enjoyed the games but it's quite complicated to start. The rule mechanisims are quite easy to pick up, but there are a lot of layers of complexity that will take a while to come to grips with, I think. For example, almost every character has different abilities/weapons, how and when to use the Engine cards etc.

My friend loves the miniatures and enjoys painting them. Personally, I think they look great, but it's not something I would buy, I prefer a more "realistic" VSF vibe to the Steampunk fantsy look.

I hope this helps, I would not spend cash on it myself, but I am very happy to play more of this in the future.

Hey Terryb I tried out Twisted at Little Wars Melbourne a few years ago, I thought the rules played well but with only that single play through couldn’t recommend them...the figures and associated buildings are great!

There’s some gameplay videos on their site maybe that’ll help, look under ‘the game’ menu...

Thanks guys. Outpost games were doing a half price sale on the miniatures, so decided to give it a go. Some way down the painting order, but the figures do look nice
