Now that we're playing games using CoC v2 the need for a few new game markers has arisen. My new idea for representing wounded senior leaders, who are wounded for the remainder of the scenario, is to replace them with a specific wounded figure, when I have one. I've been raiding the spares box and doing a few conversions using a mix of AB Figures and Plastic Soldier Company.

The PSC German set actually comes with a bandaged head as an option, so that was easy enough.

For my British and Americans I used AB Figures. Figures on the left is an AB body with one of the bandaged PSC heads. Figure in the middle is unaltered and from the AB Aid Station set. Figure on the right was a bareheaded figure and I sculpted a simple bandage using Milliput. You can see the original figure in the last picture.

I also raided the spares box to use another couple of figures from the Airfix Jungle Outpost set for a Replen Point marker for my Japanese. I knew I hung on to those figures for a reason.

Excellent indeed! Lately I've been looking into 20mm Japanese. I got WW2 in 6mm, 15mm and 28mm; but nothing for the Pacific, which would allow for turning to yet another figure size for that theatre, but choices in terms of ranges seem to be slim. So Airfix and the likes might actually be worth a look. :)

Have a look what I have here, a wide mix of various 20mm manufacturers in both metal and plastic: https://thetacticalpainter.blogspot.com/2020/08/japanese-in-20mm-for-chain-of-command.html

Recently been using my Volksgrenadiers from AB Figures to play ‘A Green and Brown Hell' a chain of command campaign set in the Hurtgen Forest. A nice campaign by David Hiscock from a recent Lard Magazine. The German force is brittle and I struggled against the Americans in the early stages, but the last few games swung the balance around, unfortunately, not enough to hold off the Americans.

The figures from AB really look the part. They do a mix of uniforms, including greatcoats and reversible camouflage. I've seen plenty of pictures of mixed clothing in the same unit, so it adds to the slightly ad hoc uniform look for the late war period. I acquired them originally to play the Bloody Bucket campaign, so it's been great to have them back on the table. I've given them a refresh and taken a few new pictures.

Amazing brushwork as always! You'll be pleased to know that it's principally your fault that I'm trying out Chain of Command. Naughty man!

A few recent additions.

A while ago I bought a set of AB Figures British engineers. The set had useful figures for mine clearing and demolitions (I posted some of the figures earlier in this thread). However there were a couple of figures I couldn't see a use for, one of which was a man hammering in a sign. It turns out I now have a use for him. Chain of Command v2 includes an option for the Germans to have 'mines in verges' and suddenly this figure has a use as a game marker. I found a picture of a British army sign that was for sale on a militaria antiques site and simply reduced it in size. While I was at it, I converted one of my regular minefield markers to the same purpose.

I finally got around to painting up two Russian flamethrower men. Timely because we plan to start an eastern front campaign for CoC set around Konigsberg and these may come in useful. Again AB Figures.

Finally, while I have a healthy collection of Germans, I realised I don't have many in action poses and very few prone figures other than a few MG42 teams. I've addressed some of that with this lovely set, again from AB Figures.

I just bought some STLs files of Russians with Panzerfausts with a similar idea but just swapping them out when I need the appropriatly armed figures.

Always inspired by your work.
Cheers,

Thanks. As it happens AB also do a few Russians with panzerfausts. Haven’t had that much call for them up until now, so hopefully be used in the same way you intend.
