Mark is detailing his preparations for the game he's putting on at Partizan in May over on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/marks_little_soldiers/

I mentioned I'll be there helping, I believe another fan of shiny toy soldiers is coming along as well to 'hang out' and hopefully push some figures around.

I'll have a trade stand with the MLS range on it at this next Partizan, but as always, to avoid disappointment, if there's something you want, give us a pre-order to bring along. Unlike Salute, you can pay on the day.

Mark brought his Little Soldiers game to Partizan today.
The scenario was to attack a Slovskan held Oil Field, and then hold it against the opponent.
I was the Berglanders. The game kicked off with a Berglander parachute drop (Using sycamore helicopter seeds). A couple of units landed too close to the Panovians and were wiped out, but the other two, with a fast tank support, claimed the Oil Field from the Slovskans. The first Panovian units to attack the Para held Oilfield were truck mounted infantry, but they were beaten off.
With an Berglander Alpine flank attack to distract them, and continued Air attacks on the main Panovian force, the Berglander Infantry managed to occupy the Oil Field and hold it as the day ended.
Victory.

That looks fabulous.  :-* :-*

It's gone beyond the 'old school' gaming look and into something quite distinctively of its own. Kind of artsy. I like it.

There's a nice photo report of Mark's Partizan game in the new Wargames Illustrated.

Is there any news on when the rules might see the light of day.

I'm tempted to invest (*cough*) heavily in these figures, but I want to know if their ruleset suits me first.

No news on the rules.

Mark has a set, it was in use at Partisan, but he is still 'tweaking' it. He spoke with a rules publisher at the show, so I hope something comes of that.

I'll be pushing for, if the publishing falls through, to have the rules as a download at the very least.

Do please keep us apprised.  Seems that most of the current WW1 and WW2 rules sets aren't really "in the spirit" of his figures (very Tin Tin).

I was inspired by these posts to purchase a painted unit of Berglunders (and I was the guy who said I need another scale of WW1 Germans like I needed a hole in the head).  Cest la Guerre.

BYW

Although Mark Copplestone disagrees, because he has a very clear vision of what he wants to do with this range for his own gaming, I think Contemptible Little Armies is perfect for MLS.

A little "off brand," (and not to take anything away from Mike's wonderful little chaps - I now own 12 of the Berglanders) but has anyone tried standing them up for size comparison next to the old 30mm Tradition of London wargaming figures? (sculpted by Charles Stadden, Clive Knight,  and Willie, as well as some SAE re-issues including Alpini and French) (and still available via mail order from both the Stockholm and London locations).  It looks like Mark Copplestone is making a very complete range, but this option may have some scope for expanding the potential opponents (I'm thinking, e.g., that the Stadden 30mm Early WW 1 British, in visored cap, have potential.  See below).  These figures, while "state of the art" when they came out, have limited detail and if painted in gloss to match Mark's could increase the options (and are available singly).

The Clive Knight WW1 range also has some potential.

Wanted to take the opportunity to post these pictures of my Berglanders.  I can't take credit for the painting - I bought them off Ebay from a gentleman, Orctrader, who painted and sold them.  Just fell in love with the pictures (despite their being in a scale - 30mm- in which I don't wargame, and despite already having many painted 28mm WW1 figures).
