How will you make that up? Aren’t they a bit less wealthy with no recourse to like all the Perry war of the roses stuff? I’ll be getting this I think through the Pit Gaming Shop you supply.

Yes, we'll have the book for the Pit Gaming Shop, no worries.

The Irish. I've got all the Perry packs Atheling posted, plus all the packs from Antediluvian Miniatures (including these 4 beauties Andrew Taylor painted for me) plus the one pack of Kerns from Crusader Miniatures. My cavalry are not correct, they are Crusader Miniatures Dark Age Scots. What I might live to regret is lining my lightly armed Irish in front of English longbowmen backed by plate armoured Men at Arms.

Likewise! Beforehand I was working on trying to make an Irish equivalent unit to all the unit types in the original Billhooks rules, so I'm definitely curious to see how the list will look in the new book! Plus any excuse to do some Burgundians from their list in the new rules is always welcome as well!

Getting a lot of mileage out of headswaps on the Perry and Antediluvian packs so far though!  lol

Using the Irish as 'proxy' figures for the English troop types might be a better option gaming-wise, but there is a Hibernia list in the book so I'll give that a try.

Getting 2 Gallowglass Units with 4 Kerns (you have to have 2 Kern per one Gallowglas), 1 'formed Kern' unit and a skirmish unit of Kerns with handguns, then one Irish Cavalry unit. 3 leaders.

Absolutely! The new list will definitely be one I'll want to try!

That said, I'll need to get to the drawing board for how to do the cavalry! That should be a fun conversion project!

Bang on! You may come a cropper facing any army with Archers but you will alway have fun!
I have a bad case of prescient nostalgia. The future's not what it used to be.

You could of course add a unit of Hebredean archers to your Irish host.  It's what the Irish did.  They shoot just as well as longbow men just not as many times.  They are also effective in melee.

The Hibernia rules are quite excellent! Remember that Deluxe is written fior each region rather than as a list of armies for competetive play so the Anglo/Irish armies of Hiberniai are not the murder machines of the Albion section, far from it having few English archers and quite alot of locally recruited levy types. I think you should use your Irish as Irish and have fun with them
