Orc horde

After a long break doing 40mm figures, I have finally come back to getting some 28mm fantasy stuff done.

First up is increasing the size of the orc horde. I wanted that marching to battle look and the ability for them to actually rank up convincingly. Sort of inspired by some John Howe illustrations. It would take too long to list all of the kits used in these figures, but let’s just say the increase in the number of new kits recently released makes this an absolute joy.

I can now field a big unit or break it down into 2 units of 24. I have another 24 in progress plus archers and a command base.

I suppose at some point i’ll have to do some good guys to!!!

I love what you have done here, that’s a great horde! I think beefcake hit it right on with the phrase, “organized disorganization”. To me, that’s an essential part of what orcs and goblins are and your kit bashes nailed it! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

Great work, all the different kits come together brilliantly, exactly the right look for Orcs. The painting is pretty damn spiffy too.

You’ve completely achieved the John Howe look - it’s the first thing I think of when I see these. Marvellous. Hope there will be more.
