BSC 2023: ichwillauch - a portal on a needle rock
« on: 28 January 2023, 06:58:26 AM »
First Idea: a renaissance low fantasy setting. A small island in a sea with dangerous creatures; three needle rocks forming the base for a dangerous stairway to a platform. Whoever will make it there, will reach a portal with great powers. So you need a place on a warship to reach the place of worship.

Sounds smashing; not unlike my own idea, but with more water (and warships)   :D

Good luck!  :)

Strictly speaking, the starting gun hasn't fired yet - wait for it before posting progress, ladies and gentlemen!
Research pics, or stuff from past builds which the new build will complement are fine.  :D

Last year's entry for the build something contest was the city of Blauenfurt, where citizens can live happily and peacefully to the end of their days.
But meanwhile, the neighboring Baron Reinhard von Rotwalden from the Noble House of Rotwalden (motto: Our leaves are blood-red - "Blutrot sind unsre Blätter") is making sinister plans to conquer the city, for which he needs a castle as a base for his army, a ship to get to the needle rocks and a lot of luck to reach the Portal of Destiny, where untold power awaits him ... or perhaps sudden death.

It may not be possible to show many pictures of the construction of the needle rocks and portal as the water has to be ready at a very early stage. If there is enough time left, I would like to build a ship and a castle because I need them for my future campaign.

All the parts for the houses in the castle.

First clueing of the houses and all the chocolait chips have been eaten so I can start with the construction of the main tower

Not only is it impressive, it's tasty too  :-*
The building walls are balsa, right? Neat bit of work with the doors and windows.

Wow. Did you basically hand-cut it too look like a laser cut kit? Excellent work
