A few new swashbucklers

Here are a few shots of some swashbuckling Englishmen hurrying along the road to Tilbury where Good Queen Bess has raised her standard to await the rascally Spaniard...
(Sorry Carlos and others  ;))

Apologies to those who have already seen over on Steve Dean's Forum, where these boys were edged out of the latest painting competition final by a solitary vote. C'est la vie  :)

I am not keen on painting smudges on 28mmm wargaming miniatures but the fringe of that cloak came out really well, Richard!

EDIT: not came out as in 'brushed off'... Ah, you get it.

They must be stopped lest they tarnish merry old England with their smut! Call upon Sir Phillip Sidney, who single-handedly (is there a "nudge nudge wink wink" appropriate?) stemmed the tide of Spanish porn and captured six dozen chests of hardcore! Know what I mean? ;) lol

Absolutely lovely work. I really like the slightly muted effect the black undercoat has on the final look of the colours.
