Besides Foundry and Warlord, does anyone sell the flat oval Imperial Roman Auxiliary Shields on their own?
Also, anyone know if the metal auxiliary shields Warlord sells are the same size as the ones that come with their plastic Auxiliary figures?
Thanks
It can be worth using late Roman oval shields if you aren't looking for specific transfers.
Here are a few other places to get appropriate shields and some are cheap to boot. Might have to use 3V transfers for them rather than LBMS due to the lack of the latter. I've included postage because just ordering a pack of shields can become prohibitive when shipping is factored in.
Newline Designs - 10 for £1.50, postage £1.50 or 10% of order value.
A&A - 24 for £3.65, postage is a flat rate of £2.50 LBMS makes transfers for these!
Lancashire Games 16 for £5.50, postage is £4.00 or 10% of the order value. Might be a tad small at 25mm? They do have embossed shields though.
Irregular also have some listed as oval but I haven't seen them. 12 for £2.64 with free shipping on orders over £20, £2 otherwise.
Agema - 3 shields for 75p, shipping is £3.80 or 12% of the order total. this one is a little outside as they're plastic and they're technically thureos but if you think they'd work they might be a cheap option if you are getting a bunch of them.
