Well, bit of biggish news first. This model will now be appearing at this years Salute before it goes to Italy so hopefully some of you will be able to see it there (13th April).

I've been doing bits and bobs on it in the meantime but now I'll be back on it with a vengence  :)

One of the corners of the castle was undermined and Gradara would like to see that represented so I've made a couple of the wall sections to have removable pieces. There will be rubble sections that can be placed down on either side as well but they will allow for figure placement.

Just bear in mind that it's still got a light basecoat on and these aren't the proper colours.

This is lovely! Yoy probably have already figure a way, but i have an idea about the broken wall part. I would fill the in between space of the remaining mdf part with a sausage of milliput. Then I would sculpt in the rumble typically filling the brick/stone layers in fortifications. Let that set. Then on the wall part that is to be removable, I would place again a sausage of miliput between the mdf, add some lubricant and press it on the previously sculpted part of the walls, in order to create a perfect fit. In that way they will be able to easily remove the part and place it back, while both parts will have some detail in the join.
I hope all that made sense  ;D

Some interior buildings have been started for the castle and when a few more are done I'll be able to start taking some decent photos of the inside to give a better impression of what it will look like.

You can read more over on the Gradara page  :)
