I would agree that musket fire was powerful.
May be one die per 2 figures would be more realistic.
I would play around with it till you come up with what you like.

Thanks for battle report. Really enjoyed it. Bought the rules and the expansion pack which includes the cards etc, off the back of your observations.
Like what I’ve read so far, a few omissions and things I wasn’t too clear on, but the author kindly answered my questions and looking forward to getting some figures onto the table
