So how (in broad terms) do the manifestations work?

As players fight, they gain manifestation tokens. These tokens are exchanged for dice, which are rolled in the hopes of reaching a target number, with that number scaling up for the more dangerous creatures. You can roll up to six manifestation dice at a time, with the more dice you roll increasing your chances of getting the creature you want, but the more dice you roll, the greater the chance of rolling a mishap.

Ooo yes, I like that - risk/reward. Cracking stuff. What sort of strange things are we talking about?

Wonder if there’s going to be scope for a Cthulhu worshipping band?

Yes, choose Cthulhu related monsters as your manifestations.

I said to North Star's Kev, let's take a picture of the Frostgrave Wizards with the A War Transformed figures.

They look pretty good.

In addition to what other people have said about choosing the Lovecraftian creatures for manifestations, some of the available children of Dagon miniatures out there could make for great Coveners (cheap and cheerful warriors equipped with CC weapons - webbed hands make it tough to cycle the bolt on a rifle!)

Dr Everett on that page reminds me of the Crowman from the orginal wurzel gummidge  ,
He needs to be leading a squad of scarecrow or Morris dancer themed trench raiders  lol

Crooked Dice Mummermen. They have a lot of folk horror types.

Woodbine have some armed Morris dancers.

Scarecrows. You could use them as Harrowed, and the Crowman as a Cunning Person.
