Royal-Ecossais Regiment. This French unit was raised by Lord John Drummond and was made up mostly of Scottish Jacobite exiles. When the Young Pretender raised his Standard, the Royal Ecossais landed in Scotland on the 7th of December to reinforce the Jacobite Army.
