Third episode was really good. Yes, I think some Japanese figures will be getting purchased following this.
It makes me want to get some.

I watched the three first episodes and I like it a lot! Just placed an order for "Test of Honour" and started to dig out those Dixon and Citadel miniatures I have in the Leadpile  :)

Good luck with the Dixon minis, they do not play well with others  lol

Watched the first 3 episodes and can't wait for the next one...maybe I'll go back and rewatch before the next ep drops.

I've only watched the first episode so far.  However, for all you impatiently waiting for the next episode to drop, I recommend Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix!

Anyone notice the similarity in the intro with Westworld?

Still loving it  8)

Good balance of humour and drama. Not often I laugh out loud at a show but this one has done it several times now  lol
cheers

Well the original was a hard thing to beat and is still fresh in the memory but the new series is really good so far. Makes me want to read all six books again. I think it was six books ?

Just caught up on Eps 3 and 4 after a couple of weeks away. Enjoying it more and more - niggles about the cinematography not withstanding.

What's your take on the blue filter? I know this was filmed in Canada, but does everything have to look so drab?

It doesn't bother me as much as the wide open aperture wide angle shots but I get where you're coming from. It seems that virtually all high end, period, productions are doing it and 'history' is now virtually monochome (Napoleon was the same). I'm tempted to tweak the TVs colour setting to see if I can punch the colour a bit but, tbh, I'm enjoying too much to be really stressed by it.

Yep, more and more so.

Minor, I know, but I really like the titles. CBA'd to check but I'd lay money that they were done by the same team that did the ones for The Peripheral.

Haven't seen The Peripheral but I like them as well. The music works well.

No spoilers really (as most people should hopefully know) but I wonder if they'll have a big battle at the end or just leave it like the book?

I believe the show runners have said they'll end it like the book.

Another great episode.

Good luck with the Dixon minis, they do not play well with others  lol

I can agree with the ones designed by Dixon himself. The Copplestone ones (mainly Ronin)are though a bit better. Quite nice even with todays standards I think
