Mutant Chronicles 54mm (added Big Bob Watts)
« on: 24 December 2023, 11:00:29 PM »
Merry Christmas! (first time I finish to paint a miniature during the eve of Christmas 😉 )
Recently I bought some 54mm resin miniatures done by a guy for a private project, ispired by the classic Mutant Chronicles.
Here the first I've painted: The Brotherhood Inquisitor.

A scale comparison with a 28mm miniature:

Another scale comparison with other 54mm miniatures:

The original Art from which the miniature is ispired:

Excellent. Weirdly I was today years old when I realised that 54mm is twice the height of 28mm  :D

Amazing work!
Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow

Thanks  :)
I painted another 54mm scale Mutant Chronicles miniature: The Mortificator.

The original art of the Mortificator:

Here the Mortificator alongside the Inquisitor. I painted a brotherhood symbol on its helmet too.

I painted another 54mm scale Mutant Chronicles miniature: Mitch Hunter.

The paint scheme was ispired by the original about the character Art by Paul Bonner:

Here a group shot of Mitch Hunter alongside the two Brotherhood models I yet painted:

Great work Katsuhiko. It’s an odd pose (weird almost useless grip/positioning of sword) but (spot on the art work and) you’ve nicely matched the illustration with your palette choice. I am a massive Paul Bonner fan and love the mutant chronicles work he did. I didn’t know there were bigger minis in the range until I saw your thread. Do you have more planned?

Probably I will consider to do some minor changes in the paint scheme, the gloves of Mitch Hunter do not match the color of the original art and are too similar to the pants.
I bought these miniatures from a 3d sculptor, he did 10 Mutant Chronicles miniatures ispired by the Paul Bonner Art. Available in 28mm and 54mm scale. I still have 7 miniatures in 54mm scale that I will paint and include in this topic: Valerie Duval, Nicodemus, Crenshaw, Max Steiner, Venusian Ranger with heavy weapon, Big Bob Watts and Venusian marshall (on horse).

Another 54mm scale miniature I painted: the Mutant Chronicles Brotherhood Mortificator. This one with an alternative paint scheme.

The paint scheme is ispired by the Mortificator in the cover Art of Paul Bonner.

I painted another Mutant Chronicles 54mm miniature: Big Bob Watts.

The paint scheme is ispireb by the original Art from Paul Bonner:

Here a groupshot of the miniatures I painted until now. I did some updates to Mitch Hunter, repainting its gloves and knife sheet, to better match the original paint scheme.

PS: I have some extra miniatures for sale if somebody is interested: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=144498.0
