For me one of the most dramatic parts of Moddle-Earth history was decline and fall of Arnor and its sub-kingdoms. Partially because it was so poorly covered by Tolkien's books and leaves lot to our inagination.

I've started from kitbashed Arthedain household troops - here is a captain and a banner-bearer:

I like the style for those "early" NĂºmenorian Kingdoms.

The conflicts of Arnor can provide some great gaming material.

Let's add an orc captain and some wolves.
Each wolf has a tiny 1mm magnet drilled behind the mane to allow a steady rider mounting if neccessary.

More great work! I like what you did with the wolves, using the magnets to get double duty with each figure as a mount or as a figure on its own. The painting is excellent, too.

Thanks, gentlemen!

Added an Arthedain noble (or some semi-independent northern prince) and a bunch of dunedain rangers + wandering dwarf ranger made of cut-down Victrix viking.

Thanks! Because of their knee-long dress they cut and glue really well.

Those modified minis do indeed make for excellent dwarves, great work!

What figures went into the making of the Arnorians? I've long enjoyed a late antiquity/early dark-age look for them - evoking the combination of a long history and current decay, while combining aesthetics balancing some rich decoration and practicality - so these nicely fit the bill.

Thanks! Arnorians are made of Fireforge medieval russians + Gripping Beast dark age warriors + wargames factory persian shields and lots of other bits. Heads are from Gripping Beast dark age cavalry for they have nice fantasy look.

Cheers - quite the chimeras they are then, but the pieces fit together wonderfully well.  :)
