The Quest for Heroes is back! This week I paint up a bunch of heroes to embark on epic quests! This time I am painting models from the Path of the Wandering Monk, First Light, and the Mage in the Mirror Elf.

Here they are all ready to be painted. Take a look at the blog to find out how I painted these models up and to get my thoughts on the Path of the Wandering Monk.

Back to the Fellowship of Destiny as we continue on our Quest for Heroes!  This time, the Fellowship is helping Prince Magnus find the king's missing wizard, Wardoz.  With mentor's help, they set-out to the Wizard's underground lab to find him.

You can see how it goes on the blog here:

Thanks.  I think I want to add the Guardian Knight to my next warband, but for that I need to get Rise of the Dread Moon.  Therefore, it might be a bit before I continue again.

In the meantime, I finished painting up Mage in the Mirror for the most part.  I decided not to paint the elves until I get Rise of the Dread Moon so I can paint them all at once and make them look unified.  I learned something from the Orcs in Keller's Keep

Here is all of it in one shot....

You can get details on how I painted it all on the blog here:

Those look great!

Question for someone who has multiple HeroQuest products (or anyone else out there)- did all of the hero models scale-creep up after the starter set? I've got the elf from Mage of the Mirror and next to the basic set heroes he's pretty big. Are other models like that or is the scale just all over the place anyway?

I think Heroquest scale is less defined than a traditional wargame line.

Makes sense, as I'd assume board games are less concerned with such things, I'm just curious as I'm thinking of snagging some other HeroQuest minis. Thanks!

Watch this space.

I recently managed to get my hands on Spirit Queen's Torment and Rise of the Dread Moon so more to come on the Quest for Heroes soon!
