Hussites 15mm
« on: 25 July 2024, 07:59:19 PM »
Been rebasing and adding to the Hussites, given to me by my good friend Paul. Replaced every other figure in the War Wagons with figures from my stash enabling me to fit out two more Wagons, added more flags, a camp and painted pavises. Now to find an enemy to fight🤪 All Based for Sword and Spear rules

Commanders

Heavy Infantry

Slav Light Horse

Ordnance

War Wagons

Impact Cavalry

Bohemian Heavy Cavlry

Baggage Camp

 Fortified camp if required

If it isn't enjoyable, it isn't gaming!

Absolutely fantastic. Are all of those flags historical or are there any personal inventions in there? Cracking work either way :-*

Most of the ones with "tails" are historical, the Bohemian flags are from contemporary sources, and some WotR flags came with the figures, so I painted over the St George cross.

The Swan Standards are actually Royalist "captured" ones :D :D :D

Absolutely fantastic.

True on many counts.
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Holy cow, those are nice! I was looking for some 28mm scale Hussite, but I think I might reconsider scale, now.

Might I ask who made them, particularly the war wagons?

Oh yes, those are some mighty good Hussites! 15mm is a really good figure size. Just sensible, gets the job done, looks nice.

Phil, I've just got back from the Czech republic and have been mighty tempted by a Hussite army plus of course an opponent. I did consider 1st Corps (ex ????) Hussite models, but reckon a Hussite army in 28mm would bankrupt me. Hence I would echo Herbert's question of who produces the 15mm figures and wagons?

Absolutely fantastic looking figures and wagons.
I've long fancied having a go at Hussites, using the 28mm range available from First Corps.
Claymore Castings have just released some early fifteenth century central European knights who would be ideal for the Hussite wars.
This thread might just be the "push" I need to get started.
