Quite lovely, Andy.

Looking at the inspirational photograph, isn't it a bit weird they have restored the waterwheel but not the roof of the mill?

Thanks for the support gents! 8)

Maybe they just started? I think there is a newer build hotel/hostel beside it called the Millhouse. Maybe they couldn’t call it that, if it wasn’t obvious why! lol

That is a gorgeous model, most envious.

It looks like you scratch built the mill wheel and gearing arrangement thing, any tips for us plebs who would like to gain your level of proficiency?

I've been looking for a suitable 3D file for a while without success.

Thanks again gents!

I’ve made up another couple of wee-er builds to go along with the watermill. I liked the look of this pic I found in google.

I think I may try to sell these pieces once they’re finished. I’ve never tried to sell stuff before, has anybody got any experience selling custom stuff on eBay/Etsy/etc?

Edit: Current state of the Watermill…

Solid work.  Do you have any pictures of the interior gubbins?  Interested to see how that is turning out.

Selling it I expect is relatively easy.  Getting enough money to justify the time and expense less likely.  All depends on reason for selling.

Looks like a project and three quarters.

Oh sliding doors is very Jacobite. If Bonnie Prince Charlie hadn't been such a monumental twat he might have been King. Such is luck or fate or er.....destiny.

I think the remote control roller door was a style of portal the Jacobites wisely left to a later generation to pursue. :D

I think you'll probably get your hand bitten off if you sell it on this very forum!   lol

Superb work.
Wanting to make a watermill myself, but will probably be a bit more 'fantasy'

As regard selling, I have sold a few bits/got comissions.
If you work out your hourly rate, then it's not worth it when you put a realistic price on it.
But, my way of thinking is that if I'm going to be making something and somebody wants to buy it, then my hobby is paying and I dont have to store it!

If I made the watermill to same standard, I would be looking to charge around £100, plus postage
