Never a dull moment
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Cool! Conflict with Norway might be a bit of a stretch mind you. NATO partner an all.

If you want another distraction, one that was actually quite a real prospect around this time then have a look the situation in Belize. The absence of a  quick reaction force from the RN, with most of its ships tied up in the Taskforce, would have been an enormous complication for the defence of Belize. Guatemala uses the cover of the Argentine invasion of the Falklands to muster OAS suport for its own invasion of Belize. The Guatemalan army is an interesting force in this period, with some exotic kit.

I look Guatemala Army. The idea of Noruega come from a naval wargame, they are a two days scenario figthing for petrol. I know It should be very strange, because the are allied.

A good BBC news from Royal Navy.

Noooo. Guatemala can't start a war with Norway, they're due to sign the peace accords in Norway, after the Civil War. Now where are they supposed to go?  lol

War makes strange traveling companions and  not everyone likes the United Kingdom, so it may be a good time to avenge old problems. Dont worry about Norway and Guatemala war.

Also "if you lie down with dogs, you're going to get fleas."
Which is about as relevant as yours!  lol
Plus every country in the world has haters; I see no reason to single out one for special treatment as, chances are, the country where the hater lives has as many (or more) who dislike them! It's a dog-eat-dog world, to stretch the canine metaphor to breaking point.  lol

The canine metaphor refers to the fact that when one is weak, it's easy to think that one's enemies will attack.

That's all it is, and hence the intention of seeking out more enemies to provide more variety in the game. I'm sorry if this isn't understood.

I'm sorry if anyone is offended.

I'm not offended either, please don't view my post as me taking offence, although I may not have read your quote the same way as you have intended it. I thought it might have meant the same as expressions such as 'it never rains but it pours' or 'bad things come in threes' - so more like if one thing happens, things will keep happening.  lol

Interesting.  The situation in Belize, I mean.

It'll be interesting if the Guatemalans poke the Lion...
