Gripping Beast/Fireforge stop doing plastics?
« on: 10 March 2025, 07:14:33 PM »

I do not think I have seen either company do anything new in ages. Shame, because while not great, they were solid. While Wargames Atlantic and Victrix are excellent, their sizes are all over the place. Anyone know what happened?

I think Fireforge are still releasing figures but maybe not in what was their original "medieval" period. No idea why GB have seemingly stopped. Maybe they see the competition from plastics-only companies such as Victrix and Wargames Atlantic ( yes i know they have STL files for sale....) plus all the resin 3D prints out there as just too strong?

Didn't Fireforge just release their whole samurai range? If you have issues with size though, their releases since the original Northmen+Undead kickstarter have been in a larger and chunkier size compared to their original medieval offerings.

Gripping Beast is gearing up for a kickstarter, not sure if there will be any plastics on offer there.

I suspect Gripping Beast has been occupied with the purchase and amalgamation of Front Rank to consider new plastic sets for the time being.

They are indeed exceptionally busy from what I have been told. This is bound to effect future plastic releases.

Erm… sorry , I may have contributed to this with my massive Front Rank orders from them.. hehe :d

They said they are also acquiring and integrating Calpe into their store this month, so I expect they will be busy selling Prussians soon as well !
