After a week of slogging away at these, I?ve got them ready for basing pumice gel and some desert flock.

The two-pounder is a neat addition to this sprue from Victrix!

Very nicely done

They look like a nice set of figures.

Thanks, Fred and Carlos!

This set from Victrix is the next level for what they?ve been doing in 12mm; the officer has a moustache!!! And the 2 lbr was just fun to paint. What a cool addition to the sprue.

These have easily been my favourite to paint to date from Victrix.

Unlike the previous 12mm, I had to remove the US infantry from the sprues to deal with some flash. Couldn’t paint them on the sprue.

As a result, each one has been mounted to a finishing nail, and the bases and infantry have been primed. Wait overnight - painting begins tomorrow!

Well, GIs were commonly described as flash bastards in the UK and Australia, what with their spiffy uniforms, nylons and chocolate bars and so on , so it's kinda fitting. :)

Good stuff

Have you used Dark Flesh for the trousers? If so that has come out darker than I would have predicted.

For the jackets I think Middlestone might be a bit too yellow?

Sorry, trousers were IJA Parched Grass primer plus GW Contrast Snakebite Leather.

I only have an iPhone, so it’s hard to get the colours to show, but to my eye, the colours seem pretty much on. Also, I had to have contrast between the jacket and webbing.

Colours on screen are notoriously problematic - even if it looks fine to you - what shows on my screen may be different!

I have a pack of these to paint up (I think acquired from your good self) so am after a paint scheme.

The irony! These are for Victrix themselves. I have US Paras and Soviet infantry to do as well as the prior British Paras and 8th Army. I’ll be sending them out end of month to Victrix.
