The Red Lion (Akage)
« on: April 05, 2025, 12:28:08 PM »
We have a new member in the family, the Red Lion (Akage) inspired by a character played by the great Toshiro Mifune. A magnificent addition for Ronin or Test of Honour among others, besides being able to represent an Officer of Tosa, Chosu or Satsuma in your Boshin War games. This great figure has been sculpted by the ever talented Stavros Zouliatis and is available now.

I just remembered that I met akage's cousins, shiroge and kuroge, at Hakodate a few years ago. Nice guys. Happy to pose for pictures.

Very, very tempting...

EDIT: So, how many different Toshiro Mifune roles have you now got depicted? Four, I think?

And Kondo Isami! Not that your depiction is based on the particular one in Shinsengumi: Assassins of Honour, but I'd say that counts!

For another Mifune flavoured miniature, you could do Matsugoro pulling a rickshaw, and/or taiko drumming away, from Rickshaw Man.
