What about your air quality?  Aerosol paint indoors has always been a disaster.

I’ve sprayed hand mixed automotive lacquer inside(ish). Full face respirator, exhausting to to window in a jury-rigged booth. Two coats, on a goalie mask. When I took off my respirator I swore I get a rental booth for next time

That's a rookie mistake - you switch off the sprayer/rattle can, step away from the area, close at least one tight fitting door between you and the sprayed area, then and only then do you lift the mask!

  lacquer will definitely take you places!

I also always wear a respirator while priming and make sure that no one is too close by (like on an adjacent balcony). Which is another reason to do it all in one go. It saves annoying preparation work.
