It is a little early, I know...
« on: 20 December 2009, 10:18:05 PM »
...but since I am to spend Christmas in the Swiss Jura1 where an internet connection is an uncertain thing, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all, my dear, dear fellows and ladies, a Very Merry Christmas from me, Mrs Hammers, young fiver and Can-O'-Beer2. Although I am a very secular man I wish to use the words of one of my literary heroes, Stephen Maturin: "God's flower upon your heads"3 for the greatness you bring to our particular little niche of human endeavour and art.

1where my brother-in-law has an old field piece in the garden aimed at France.
2who I dare include since he is doing a merry jig in his mothers tummy every turn of the glass.
3Captaine Haddocke is an other one but 'Espèce de loup-garou à la graisse de renoncule de milles tonnerre de Brest '[Tintin au Tibet] just doesn't have the right Christmas ring to it, does it?

Ah, that's extra nice. Happy anything you may care to celebrate (Yule, Mithras's Birthday, Hannukah, the Solstice, Saturnalia or whatever else) to you and yours also. Enjoy your Jurassic Christmas. Try not to get involved any wars with France  (or if you do, try to limit them to 25mm scale).

And a blessed Feast of Sol Invictus and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well, my friend. If you start a war with France, be sure to take pictures;)
