Just wanted to add my kudos to this project.
I don't know which is better, the family aspect, or the awesome pieces coming out of it.

I’m back from Texas! Thanks for all the comments! I’ve been helping dad again along with school so I’m beat. This first picture is “Wolf Girl in the lair of the mad scientist doing his evil bidding.”  :D   The lighting was being mean so I had to take two rounds of pictures to do this post.

This building is the first one we made. This is also my favorite building. I really love the chipped paint kind of look and the patterns it makes.

We were aiming for that cool weathered look you see in Indiana Jones movies or around old Santé Fe. Check out that cool front door!

We have been working on the windows and doors since last post. The curtains that you sort of see in these pictures are the ones I made from pieces of paper. It was kind of hard making the curtains, fold after fold after fold after fold.

Be back soon!

Wolf Girl out.

This "spackled" (?) effect is superb - or "spackletacular", if you´ll excuse the pun. ;) I´m really, really looking forward to seeing the finished layout.

EDIT: Just noticed the curtains! CURTAINS! Behind such tiny windows! That is devotion to detail at it's very best - little pieces that add a great effect (sometimes at second glance) without being too fiddly to handle in a game (or for storage).

The paint effect on the buildings is fantastic. The buildings themselves are fantastic too, very inspiring with excellent attention to detail.
Also, this, someone actually happy about the hobby and smiling, is inspiring and should be on the LAF masthead or something to remind everyone why we're here.

All round brilliant thread.

This thread has convinced me to start doing my hobby stuff with my daughter. She's fascinated with my miniatures and wants to learn to play. I guess its time to start teaching the next generation of gamers - and they're going to be girls!

All of these buildings are fantastic, Wolf Girl! And it looks like you're having a lot of fun in "the lair of the mad scientist".  :D

I agree with Matakishi. It's nice to see the enjoyment from someone.

Girls make the best painters. As soon as my daughter is old enough she's being given a paint brush and some old figures to play with :D

Nailing someone to the mast because they're having fun seems a bit extreme me heartie  ;)
