this one is going in the 'done' stack!

I think I would put it in the "Well Done" stack.

I really like this last building.
Congratulation to you for the buildings… and to your daughter for her patience ;)

Thanks for all the posts you guys! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Here you go!

These are the buildings officially finished with the barrels (that I painted) and the pots that dad made from necklace beads at Hobby Lobby. I’ll post the other four buildings when dad is done gluing. Enjoy!!   :D

the idea with the beads is very good!

don't want to sound critical, just a suggestion:
how about going a bit to town with the gate?

Wolf Girl, you and your dad should make an idiot proof (read that as "warrenss2" proof) step-by-step tutorial PDF for those of us fairly new to terrain making (namely... ME).

former user -- I like that idea. I'd always intended to make a removable piece that would slide in to represent a gate. Unfortunately, newer projects keep jumping ahead of it so I suspect it will probably be without a gate for awhile.

warrenss2 -- I think that is an EXCELLENT idea for Wolf Girl. I'll see what I can do.   :D

THANKS for all the suggestions and comments from everyone. It definately helps!

A step by step would be lovely, if you have the time. You pair are doing us all a favor with this kind work!

Oh yes, I see what you are saying now.

You see, originally , I had intended this to be nothing more than a simple covered alley or street like in the background of this picture --

Then I decided to give it a little more of a fortification-like appearance, so it might pass as a town gate as well. So it does look rather plain in this role.

Thanks for the idea and the picture, former user. If I end up keeping this set, I may eventually go back and add more details.   :D

THANKS!

just a simple stonework arch and maybe an inner wall with gate opening would perfectly suffice
and if You want to add some colour, in the orient the arch stones could be alternating red and white/yellowish/grey (whichever fits better)
