British Prussian Dust up
« on: 19 January 2010, 04:51:32 PM »
A Pizza and Cold Ones battle fought the other day where Prussian Training and a will to carry on despite losses vs British training and marksmanship led to quiet an encounter. My Prussian force suffered from poor firing but great Moral rolls! Klanken Troopen fire on the other hand cleared problem positions for me though :)

My opponent, Skrapwelder, was cool and collected, managed his Brits well and in the end withdrew in good order.

That's a polite way of putting it ;).  In our games the loser is usually packed off home in shame and crying for their mum. That's if there's anything left on the board!

Great report, thanks for sharing.

I have always felt that the ability to retire in good order was the sign of a gentleman. If I had given more consideration to the effects of the Klanks being along the line of three infantry units all firing at once I would have had my batman lay out the smoking jacket far earlier.

Another turn like that last one and I would have been calling for the earth tone britches. lol

Where did those clanks come from? I take it they are inspired by the girl genius, they, and the rest of the battle look awesome.

I converted GW Eldar Wraith guard figures to make the Klanks.

You know I thought I recognized elder stuff in it for a second, then thought I must be mistaken.

I love the 'Klanken'.

I think it's excellent that they have Shakos! A wonderful concept!

I'd love to do a VSF Prussian army of Robots led by a nutty professor, all with Shako...

Hmmmm ;D

Like the clanks Alfrik!  Nice conversions.

Say Hi to Randy van Vranken for me if/when you see him.

Looks like it was tense battle.

Gracias,
