Yeah, saw the price...I guess I'll stick to the idea of converting a Space Marine landspeeder to a buggy!

Brilliant! But, I think I'll just save the pictures and use them for references for a scratch-built version. Lots more affordable lol. That's what I hate about Forge World; such beauty, yet unobtainable by peasants such as myself.

really nice - luckily the rest of the models in the range are just as expensive..

I've converted my landspeeders into buggies - really simple, only problem being that the landspeeder model comes with nearly as many gaps that need filling as the old version of a rhino... Guides how to do this should be available via google, but if you want me to take a reference picture let me know.

Yes, superb! Would need to get rid of the obviously OTT 40K stuff, but would be a perfect Special Forces vehicle for "proper" SciFi games  ;) The minigun idea would be perfect, or maybe one combined with some sort of AT misslie system.

Sadly as mentioned, far too expensive. I can't see them ever coming out in plastic and even then the price would be higher than average  :(

Sadly, I don't have an option in the matter. I freely admit that the Death Korps of Krieg are my most favorite Sci-Fi minis -ever- (and yes, I absolutely detest Games Workshop, etc,etc... I just love the design of the figs and their WW1 throwback weapons, uniforms, etc.). For a while, my wife was buying me bits and pieces of the DKK collection every Christmas, but last year she stopped, because their shopping cart system will -not- work for orders from us any longer, they won't return phone calls, and answering emails is something they've never actually done to my knowledge...

Which means, in essence, that I have absolutely no way to order any of this stuff. Probably a good thing, as their prices get worse every year. But unfortunate. If nothing else, I did pick up Aeronautica Imperialis, and fancied having a go at some point. Ahh well:)

You know, all that aside, I strongly suspect that a Goana/Gecko type vehicle from Old Crow would largely fit the bill of this new piece. Same concept, anyway.

I'd like to see some pictures of that.  I've been thinking of getting the scout speeder but I really would prefer something that is land based.

I'd like to see that too!  I need some stripped down buggy type thingies, along these lines:

Looks like I'm one of the few people that doesn't consider £35/$60CDN an outrageous price for a good quality resin model.  Maybe it's because I'm used to paying $50-70 for my 1/35 plastic kits. I really like the look of this one although, like Doc Twilight, most of my Imperial Guard interests lie with the DKK (the Death Riders are ace).  I'm going to find it difficult to purchase any new FW releases as well, ever since they cancelled most of the North American Games Days, including the one in Toronto.  Theoretically, I can still get them through the local GW store but I haven't tried yet (need to catch up on my Skaven first).  Still need the third volume of The Siege of Vraks.
Why take Life seriously? You'll never get out of it alive!

I've got a couple of Forgeworld Kits that set me back £50 back when I still played 40k, so I guess £35 isn't a massive price, but considering that this thing probably isn't a lot bigger than GWs marine landspeeder.
 :?

I'm also undecided as to whether or not my personal ban on buying things from GW extends to Forgeworld, cause that thing would be great for scifi/post-apoc gang wars. I'm tempted to pick up the second and third Vraks books just to finish the story just not decided if I can afford it justnow.
