OK,

Lot's of time later and still not a lot has happened. Or so you'd think.

We have revised our plan and started from scratch with the terrain making.

This obviosly doesn't translate very well into pictures, so you'll have to take my word for it.

I would like to show something though:

This is the current overview of the bug army. A parcel of spice lice should be en route from England to Denmark as we speak and they'll constitute the last 4 bases of infantry.

I promise that from now on I will only post FINISHED things to you. I know that as my vacation is due and the project is gathering speed, this promise will be easy to fulfill.

So far so good, I'm looking forward to seeing the spice lice next to the tyrannids for size and style comparison.

I've decided to steal your termagaunt (or whatever they are) idea, the last ones I did had antennae but the bug eyes add so much more.

I certainly hope the lice will come off as much smaller. The idea is to mount 4 to a base and have them as the pesky little buggers.

In other news: As this is meant for "convention gaming" I'm going to colour code everything. So the leader of the brown bugs will be brown.. and the leader of the green bugs will be green. That should help the gamers.

We had a small go at CF this monday and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Both at the actual action and the pace at which my opponent picked up the rules (and whacked me over the head with his army).

Finished the last 4 bases of bug eyed aliens for the Klakks From Dimension X army.

All that's standing between me and a finished project is thus 2 vehicles, 1 leader (old GW hive tyrant, which is currently walking here from where ever

) and two "platoon commanders".

Painting this is not something I dwell at.. It's rough fast and to the point. I do hope the overall board will look smashing.

First and foremost - looking at the buildings, the rules and.. who's stealing now.

(Paul's the crossfire guru and came up with the building design

)

I'll remember to do a comparison shot next time I get the camera out. They are based on the same size base though, so you can probably already get a feeling of their size.

This is the best ~~reuse~~ use of Tyranids I have ever seen.

The gaunts look like space roaches.
