SoTR Comanche Mech
« on: 31 January 2010, 01:07:39 AM »
I always like an active solo type project while I'm working on units (Commander A and Buddy right now) and while my first Comanche was finished for a little while now, I wasn't quite sure about how I wanted to detail it. Compounded by the fact that last year I experienced a pinched nerve in my left shoulder (auto accident) and a torn tendon in my right middle finger (ouch! - work injury) and discovered that I had to adjust my painting techniques. I mean c'mon, I already have lousy vision (which does indeed get worse as you get older.) Painting the "We haul ours.." on the knee pads was a lot trickier than I remembered it being. After looking at him on my shelf for a little while I decided as I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do he was done for now, and put a finish coat on him, though I'll probably touch him up and add some stuff when I do the other two. Also a pic with my Staff Sargent as I try to get a pic that better shows the troops color a little better (too much sun made the high lights way too green.)

We haul ours to kick theirs.

Personally I think they look very cool.  8)

Very Nice!

I've got a few of these kicking about. I think I might have to dig them out.
