Two conversions for Terminator games
« on: February 04, 2010, 12:22:13 PM »
Here first is an infiltrator converted from Hasselfree's Harby and zombie ray.

Here are some WIP pictures of a mototerminator.

Thats a great use for Harby, he looks instantly recognisable as a Terminator.

The mototerminators look like they are coming along nicely too.  That styrene minigun looks great, even though it looks like a fiddly thing to put together.

Some unsolicited advice: if you are planning to make some more Infiltrators in similar ways then buying some seperate zombie heads from West Wind or some other manufacturers will end up cheaper than having to chop up entire zombies for them.

I did some research regarding the availability of zombie heads in this thread if you are interested.

Yes they are made from styrene rods, strips and a piece of square tube.

The barrels themselves are first glued around the central piece, allow each to dry before attaching the next. Then I used evergreen's .01 x .030 styrene strips for the bands around the barrels. The Whole piece was then inserted into the square tube.

I modified a Heroclix Punisher to be on of the T-600 Infiltrators (rebasing & repainting):

In the Terminator Salvation movie, the T-600 are about 8 feet tall so his hugeness seems to be in line with the fluff.

No you just asked Akky and I basically! ;) Yup a few of the more fleshy zed heads will do for T800's, T600's your probably better going for normal human heads with the eyes cleanly drilled out a touch, then tiny bits of plasti-rod/brass wire inserted to give it that 'rubber mask/skin job look'.

Anyway onto to the mototerminators:

Very nice indeed, remember to set one up on the lean and have the chainguns gyroscopically balanced, will make a nice looking mini that way. Remind me of the bike manufacturer again are they Void? (Kev White's old sculpts?).
