New Dropship Enters Service
« on: February 20, 2010, 11:00:30 PM »
This last week I've been doing a quick re-paint job on what is quite a large transport craft (for 15mm gaming). Here's a couple of photos of some of my troops disembarking :) You might recognize it... ;)

Regards to all

Indeed!  I've got 2 waiting to be repainted (for 28mm).  Seems the olive drap does them really justice!

Didn't notice those, I assumed they were the not Halo guys from rebel minis (?).

I'm intrigued though.

Alternative Armies do all the old Asgard ones, which are quite pretty.  :)

Uti

I've still got my table set up, so I'll take some more later.  In the meantime here's some other general shots I took yesterday :)

What do you use for your power armoured infantry?

Commissarmoody and Rob

The power infantry are made by 15mm.co.uk and are part of the old Laserburn range that used to be made by Table Top Games.  They are equipped in Dreadnought armour according to the catalogue.  In the 'Beamstrike' rules they have a category for Dreadnought armour, and in the 'FAD' rules which I also use, they class as having Heavy Power Armour.  I've slightly modified most of the figures and equipped them with a combination of either:

in Beamstrike:
Twin Missile Launchers
Twin Heavy Bolters
Twin Heavy Heavy Laser

in FAD
Twin High Tech SAW
Twin RPG

They of course come with the three grenade tubes (head mounted) and a Jet Pack as standard :)

Depending on the scenario, I have pointed them with 'shielding' as well.

IMHO in the 15mm sci-fi world you just won't find a harder infantry unit :)

The ones in the photo I've still not quite painted to my satisfaction yet, but they are not far off.... :)

The Hood had better watch out!!   ;)

Very nice stuff - I know its a bit smaller but I keep looking at my SpaceMarine (epic) stuff that's been lying dormant since I realised my painting skills as a 14 year old weren't up to the job!

Haha, I thought they were AA models, but didn't want to say in case I was wrong.

Brilliant range of 15mm figs, go check them out.  :)

Is that Thunderbirds 2 model a toy or a model kit?  I was looking for the model kits to do some conversions but I wasn't sure of the quality of the model kits.  This one looks great.
This is my boomstick!

Yes please, where is the secret stash of nice big TB2's just waiting for us to buy them for nifty-keen conversions?
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

Its a toy.  If you press the buttons towards the back it makes sounds :)  Cool eh ?   :D   :)

Here's some more photos I took yesterday  :)   The Terminator HK is a work in progress at the moment, but I included for scale comparison.
