It is indeed Games Workshops "Chapel". Its a sort of nice building, but waaaaaaaaaaaay too much deathskulls and other later style warhammer perephernalia. I have however taken away the better part of the most offending stuff, to make it less warhammerish and more generic. I have also made some addons to it, that will further illusion of a slightly different house. I am not done yet, I will open up one of the walls and add a hatch with a canvas awning to make it look like a small business.

The Stug IIIG is from Bolt Action Miniatures (1/56 scale), a quite nice model. It is a "gaming" model and not a super modelers dream, but quite nice anyway.

Yo, ho, haul together.

Hoist the colors high.

Heave ho, thieves and beggars,

Never shall we die!

@ Hammers

I have now been working a lot on this house, and I can tell you that if you buy it and build it as is, for wargaming, like warhammer fantasy, its fine I suppose. However, for wargaming in a skirmish enviroment, where you want to enter the building, I think that the work involved with getting it to a adequate level of detail and to be at least not anoyingly ugly, its not a good building what so ever. There is no interior, so you have to make new inner walls, new floor and a new upper floor, because there is none in the kit. It is simply not worth the effort. You will be much better off with just bying some foamcore and scratchbuild it, its easier and takes less effort. The only thing that is nice, is the fact that the roof is okay, so you dont have to make that part your self. But then, I am sure that bying a more expensive kit would be preferable anyway, like Wargaming World or something.
I primarely wanted this house becuase of the availability, the relative cheap price, to get some diversity with the various buildings... but I didnt foresee the amount of work involved though.

Like this... easier, cheaper, faster and as far as I am concerned, it looks better. Less effort, more detail.

A smaller boat being made by Evanion, one of the other guys in our little crew of desperate cutlass wielding pirates...

Way to go, Kalle! Combining two, nay, three great pass times: Lego, wargaming and tying knots.

Hehe, Kalles rope adventures have given us all a good time, a plethora of known and unknown swear words, ranging from threatening the devil with the unspeakable to more normal cries for help, however there is hope.

Progress, cutting the foamboards today or tomorrow, for the basic layout of the habour, making a mould for the paving and assembly of some newly arriwed model buildings. One problem with using stuff from Tabletop-world, is that it sort of sets the standard a bit to high when it come to scratch building stuff, at least for me.

Some progress with the buildings, the Habour Masters office and home. I appologize for the poor quality of the pics, but you will have to live with it. I am no photographer, and never will be one.

No worries, Sonny.  I adhere to the same philosophy of photography when it comes to WIPs. They don't need studio lighting like paintjobs do. One from the hip is will do nicely.
