Bad Axe, Colorado! [Town Build Project]
« on: March 23, 2010, 10:37:10 PM »
The three streets leading out of the lawless, vice ridden town of Bad Axe are named Perdition, Redemption and Deliverance.

Wetwater Gulch ran near to the town. However, several summers ago the creek dried up. What was once Wetwater Gulch is now called Dry Gulch by the imaginative townsfolk...

Despite the corruption and violence Bad Axe is a bustling, growing town. Rumours of silver in the hills are bringing many prospectors and fortune seekers and arriving with them the men who will make their money providing various... services...

So essentially Deadwood  ;)

So far all of our games have been "in the wilderness" but within a few weeks we should start seeing more of the town built by me and a friend.

Building one...

Painting, basing and weathering will commence... when I find the time...  ;D

I hope you’ll find the time to do more work on it… that being said, that building already look great.
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

That's the hardware store done...

A few other chaps are also building parts of the town so I may have a few more pictures soon of something actually resembling a town...

Next up for me is more lawmen for my posse and a couple more buildings.

Great building and thanks for the hardware sign. What miniatures did you use for Seth Bullock and Sol Star?

You know... I never intended the miniatures in the picture to represent Bullock and Star but it appears as if I subconsciously chose a couple of models that fit quite well.

They are both Black Scorpion figures, the one with the shotgun from a multipack and the other available as a single model.

Hotel and just behind it (not really visible in this picture) a cafe.

I'm about half way through the build and I have run out of doweling but still have plenty of other bits I can work on.
