Looking for a few things
« on: 11 April 2010, 01:53:53 AM »
I'd like to find a Maxim gun for a contraption I want to build. I hear Brigade Games has some but I can't find any on their web site. How are the ones from Old Glory?

How about 28mm scale safety bicycles or early motorcycles?

Just guess what I'm getting at  :D

North Star/Great War has a British motorcyclist in the "British Characters" pack as seen here:

with better picture here:

Old glory makes real Maxims on cavalry carriages in their Boer War artillery range which might be able to separate from the rest of the model. Great War also makes MG08s, Vickers guns, and M1917s on tripods for their Germans, British, and Americans respectfully.

Copplestone makes Vickers under "Back of Beyond" and "World War I" for the British.

I've tried to google a pic of the contraption in question, but my google-fu is depleted at present  :(

Oh just a four wheeled, motorized bicycle with a maxim mounted on.  ;D

Not sure if there would be any pictures of one to be found on google.

The one on Tobsenn's site looks like it'll do the trick.

You're going to make yourself a Davidson 4-wheeled car:

I must say, I prefer the 3-wheeled version more:

There is a 4 wheeled bicycle version which I expect is what is being made. Damned if I can remember what it's called though. There's a thread on it somewhere in the depths of this forum.
So many projects..... so little time.......

It appears to me that I must agree with you on both counts.
