In this photo from 1891, Torchwood operative Sylvia Coggington is shown discovering the reasons for the sudden failure of the pneumatic substrata trans-Britannic railway. Upon resolution of this incident, certain unreliable publications report that the Thames ran yellow for eighteen minutes on the following Thursday.

Torchwood operative Sylvie Coggington (later discovered to be Lady Sylvie Coggington) shown in a reconstructed undated file photo ca. 1890. Lady Sylvie's current whereabouts are unknown.

Magnificent!

I'm only slightly disappointed  you didn't name her Agatha Clay Heterodyne. ;->=

While Miss Heterodyne was definitely an inspiration, her story's being told by someone else.  I like to tell my own.

Lord Delabrough, Lady St. George, and associate battling unknown horrors in an underground pumping station, in this (probably staged) Torchwood file photo ca. 1891.

Lord Robert Delabrough. His origins and actual age are unknown, but when he's had a couple drinks he starts telling stories about Duke Wellington that are either made up or he had to have been there...

Presumably, Lord Delabrough survived his adventures in Atlantis.  We shall just have to guess or assume, as no records about him remain from that period.  That and the fact that Atlantis never appeared in this timeline...or did it?

Lady Sarai St. George: fighter, dancer, explorer. Her 19th-century exploits are the stuff of legend, or would be if MI5 would ever release the files.

Hank "Oiler" Petchvarry, general go-to man and curmudgeon for most of the latter twenty years of the Victorian-Era Torchwood institute. One wonders if he's even human, because every branch seems to have someone like him, and they're all named Hank. Perhaps they're grown in a lab. History would not put it past him to have done so.

Again, lovely figures!

Whilst I recognize Lady St George (yet another figure I must get painted), where does Lord Delabrough come from?

I'm guessing he may be an Old West figure with head and sword added? If so, it's a mighty fine conversion! The body looks sort of familiar, but I just can't work out where I've seen it  :(

I'd definitely like one though - just right for a Torchwood operative.

I think it might be an 'Earp' figure? Possibly Artizan?

She looks like another (converted) variant of the Brigade Games Victoria Hawkes character.

Could be and if it is, I think I have that set somewhere ::)

Ms. Peterson and Ms. Coggington are converted Victoria Hawkes figures.  Lady Sarai is an Ironclad Mina Harker.  Delabrough is a Reaper Doc Holiday with a head from one of their colonials and a pirate hand.  Hank is from Pinnacle, the bug is Grenadier, and the background is made from VCR parts and the guts of an electric drill.

With five in the team, I think my operatives are done - now I just need to figure out period-appropriate antagonists and scenery.  And find an opponent.

Nothing short of a cliff hanger! Can't wait to see where you go with that.

And I thought the beginning was masterful!

Of course, I love great lumbering landships and the whoosh of the flyers, but truly great ideas for characters leave me flummoxed. No problem for you, obviously.

The lasses have won my heart; the stalwart men, my admiration. I can't imagine the nefarious, otherworldly opponents the team will have to face. High bar you've set, as evil is almost always more interesting.  >:D
