I got a set as well  - at 44p per figure, that's not bad, and mine are luckily not as misaligned as feared. Also, I don't feel bad trashing the magazine instantly. God, for BBC tie-in merchandise, that is really horribly poor.

Still strugling if I shall paint them as iDaleks (which would be interesting since it would make each one instantly identifiable), or a more "classic" metallic scheme to make them more generic.

To be fair the mag is aimed at kids! The odd useful pic in there I thought, for the reference file. i'm tempted to paint the iDaleks in actual Power Ranger colours.  >:D

Yes, obviously. But I find it appalling that they market such stuff at kids. They deserve better, and by Jove, back in my day, we did get better.

Although I tormented my parents with memorizing dinosaur names, I'll agree that this is good mnemonic training. :)

Haha that sounds familiar - my dear old mum used to dread storytime as I'd always point to a large dusty old tome full of sauropods, therapods and mammal like reptiles...

Ramphoryncus was my fave but I still have trouble with pachycephalosaurus! Now in the process of brainwashing my 2 year old lad with both Who and dinos!  >:D

On the topic of the Daleks - got the wife to keep her eyes peeled as she's bobbed out to the shops...

... and she's back bearing gifts!  :D

Might have been being a bit dense but when it was mentioned there were misalignment issues I had'nt realised they were hollow!  ::)

Bit more excited about the beer and pizza that was in the shopping bag!

Why didn't I listen Evilgiraffe?!  ;D

Mind you Power Ranger paint schemes could be a bit of a giggle...  lol

Minimal alignment problems over here. Not exactly high art but before today I didn't have any Dalek miniatures and now I do, for the price of a pint. That's a win in my book.

Bob may have accidentally bought three copies of the magazine.

Bob is ashamed.  :'(

But Bob is also the owner of a dayglo Dalek army.

The shame is still winning...

I too feel the shame. I despise the new design, but bought them anyway. At this rate I'll end up buying next week's issue for the free stickers and smiler mask.  :'(

I might attempt to justify buying them by coming up with a Dalek civil war scenario, new vs old.
