When it comes to Africa, Plynkes is the Argentina to my England  :(

Well give him the Falklands for Christmas then.

I'm confused now. When it comes to Africa I'm Argentina and New Zealand? I didn't think either of those were in Africa. What am I, Harry Potter twerp Daniel Vettori now? I'll have a vowel, please, Carol. What you don't have any? None in your entire country?

When it comes to Africa I'm Malawi and Guinea-Bissau, if you must know.

Anyone else besides me who feels a bit stressed about Plynkes', Cptn Blood's, Admiral Bendow 's recent displays...?  ;)

While you have got a mild dose of this, this fellow seems to be a terminal case (the post near the bottom, just before Smokey's):

I must say I know exactly how he feels, the LAF can sometimes do that to you. All I can say is that I used that feeling as motivation to improve, rather than letting it crush me. I only hope he doesn't spend too much time looking around here at what the others are doing, else he'll end up topping himself.

Just poking my nose in fashionably late to add my "Well done!" to the chorus. I find this sort of thing very inspirational, not intimidating. Still it does make me feel a wee bit guilty for not contributing more myself. If I ever get my act together I'll rectify that. Probably next week-ish, right after the semi-regular meeting of procrastinator's anonymous.

If that's how he feels he should perhaps change hobby. Or even better ask himself if he really needs to be recognized for his wargaming efforts. One can do it for leisure, you know.

Anyway, the stress I feel is not about not being able, it is about shortage of time. I am quite happy about what I do, a few people have said nice things about my stuff and I have a few things lined up which I don't expect will be hissed at and egged. When people around here post their wonderful stuff I get stressed for not having time and focus enough to get over that last hurdle and complete things.

Oh my word, I can't believe I'm late to the party again...

All the good superlatives have been used so I'm going to have to make up my own.

Plynkes, that is incredulably awetastic.

You've surpassed yourself. The warpaint is my favourite bit, I think, I love the effect. And yes, I am also intimidated by you, the Admiral, the Cap'n, Hammers, Prof., Orctrader and god knows how many others on here.

I'd like to think that I have also seen this as an opportunity to improve and up my game, but the small advances I have made fall far short of just about anything you produce.

Ugh. I'm sounding all emotional, like a European or something.  :-[  So I shall close with the highest praise I ever recieve from my old, unreconstructed, Northern Dad.

"Aye. Good, that."

Exactly.

Your painting is so good, it memorises phone books (but sadly has no social skills).  ;)

Great stuff Plynkes :) one of my fave books :D You had better do Finch-Hatton's grave with a couple of respectful (or relieved) lions. Like the fact that he changed his attitude from slaughter to a ,I suppose conservationist attitude......?
