Just what it says, look at Dynamite comics, they have taken many classic golden age heroes, who have long been in the public domain and are making some cool comics. So why is no one doing the same for minis? Some very cool charcters are public domain like:
-The Black Terror
- The Green Lama
- Fighting Yank
- The Arrow
- Masquerade
- The Claw
- The 1st Daredevil (they now call him "The Death-Defying Devil")

And the list goes on and on. This very short list would all make really cool, charcter filled and dynamic minis! So is it just me or would anyone else like to see this happen?
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

The problem I foresee is that with the wide availability of clix figures and the amount of companies already making "look-alikes" of popular characters is that the market for public domain heroes will be limited. If a comic company did something new with them (see: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), it would be a different story.

Cash!  I got a huge list of PD characters to do but no cash.  Another problem is they are not as well know and unless you are a comic geek you would look over them as just more supers minis.  The generic supers are huge now and it's hard pressed to find a Black Terror fan in gaming as most of his books are not reprinted and out of most's price range.  The new Golden Age character origin stuff is out there but not sure if it will be continuously supported so there is that factor of putting in money into a character who is not well known or liked.  The ability to modify the clix are another factor as noted before and there is not a huge amount of superhero gaming too.  Lots of factors but there are lots of great characters with rich histories to be done.

Here is a great site for and PD comic characters.

I'd love to see all the Golden Age heroes in metal,
Brian

Good point. As much as you or I might like to have a Green Lama figure, the manufacturer might be hard-pressed to make a decent ROI (Return On Investment) on it.

Given the excellent quality of your Cap & Bucky figures, you're the man to do it if anyone is, Brian...! ;)

I don't think knowing who they are is that important.  If it looks good and you think it is just a generic super hero, who cares?  You might after you've painted the Black Terror pink and find out he wears black, but I bet people would buy them just as generics.  There are really only like three or four companies that make supers, and not huge ranges either.  Clix are great but the quality of late and the scale issues can be a turn-off.

I don't care who they are; if the look generic enough I will buy them and paint them how I want to, for my own amusment and to use in my RPG campign. I realise I might be in the minority, but I don't confess to be a comic book geek, just a superhero mini fanatic. If there is more on the market, PD or not, then I consider that to be a good thing.
