Painted Humanoid in EVA suit
« on: July 13, 2010, 07:16:28 PM »
Just finished painting one of Gary Mitchell's new figures for him, a humanoid in a EVA suit. Lovely generic sci-fi figure

Not so generic, methinks, and not 50s retro, neither. More like 60s retro, or should that be turn-of-the-Millenium retro?

Lovely job.

Yes, there are some little gems in Gary Mitchell's range. As soon as I saw this I was thinking of neanderthals chucking bones in the air  ;)

Great!

And if I can give a shameless plug, work has just started on three retro astronauts for our 7TV game over at Crooked Dice.

These three members of the British Rocket Group include space archeologist Dr Melody Lake and two helmeted assistants. Helmets attached seperately to allow for head conversions.

More details on the CD Forum.

You mean a bit like this?:

Fantastic news! I love the whole Space 1999 look. It seemed very fresh and futuristic when I watched it as a teenager and even though it's obviously showing it's age I'm happy to see that figures inspired by it will be appearing  :D

Just wish I could get hold of some Eagle and Hawk ship models  :(
