Yes, great game! I really like how you've done the terrain. It looks dense enough to be jungle, but with plenty of space to actually play the game comfortably. Not always easy an easy balance to achieve!

It's something I keep meaning to try - after all I have a suitable Conan figure and plenty of African/Arab types that will do nicely. I've always loved the stories set in the "not-Africa" and all I really need is to find some spare time to fit a game in.

I'm also interested in getting more info on the rules when they are done, but I'll be able to use Song Of Blades And Heroes until then  :)

Well, for decent jungle terrain have a look at the various jungle pieces Grimm did. That's basically what I did, only I never feel I've come even close to his pieces.

As for the rules, Björn and me have been doing quite a bit of work and I hope to get them presentable later this year (and we are talking LATER). Till then we'll be doing a lot of fine tuning and playtesting (or so I hope). ANd we have to check, if there is actually a game out there that actually uses the same mechanisms, because in that case I wouldn't want to spoil anybody else's work.

I've never played Songs of Blades and Heroes nor read the rules. I hope my little thingy won't be too similar... Time to do some checking, I guess.

Very cool sounding game.  :)

The combined combat and skill system allows you to create fast and heroic combat results that are very suitable for Sword and Sorcery. Jump in, one blow - two down. Just like in the stories.

That sounds cool.  Kinda getting in a Sword & Sorcery mode here lately since I started reading all the Fafrd & the Grey Mouser books again.

We did an ad hoc Conan game at the Profs house eraly this month and it really got me. We used SoB&H, but this was not the best choice. Can't wait to try your rules!

Awesome, and I'm looking forward to seeing your rules. Quick-play rules, with lots of options, are the holy grail of skirmish gaming. I can't wait to see more.

Thanks for the inspiration, Conan-style games and fantasy are my favorites!
