Phil:  You are correct, they miniatures in the red tunics are Empress Miniatures.  I forgot about them in the first post.

Thanks former user, but these were done for a commission.  I still have this batch of figures because I'm working on some more Artizan figures, a Dixon truck, and a Lancia.  When they are completed they'll go to England.

What are the Carlists supposed to be? I'm not really familiar with the ins and outs of the VBCW back story. Trouble with Carlists, if you aren't going to use them as such, is that they don't look like anything else. However you paint them they are always going to look like Carlists.

IIRC they are from an island south of the mainland that has a large influx of Spanish immigrants and are the Parish of St. Martin.  That's all I can remember, these are for a commission so I just painted them how I was asked.

I am familiar and I don't know either...  lol

The Carlist figures pass muster as Basques in SCW though (personally I'd remove the tassel off the beret though).
