Yeah, the price is a bit steep and shipping on a 2' piece of resin probably won't be cheap either. But as they will happily point out, if you buy their $50 Old Glory Army card, you can get 40% off. So it will only cost you $167 + shipping instead of $195 + shipping.

I think it looks great, though. I'm sure they will sell a few.

I'm still going to build one of my own one of these days.  :)

Between this and the Gangster buildings, I'm going to have to finally join the Old Glory Army.

I am in  I want this more than the gangster buildings!

Wonder if OG UK will be stocking it? It's not mentioned on the website yet!

Yes they are crazy, but I've just ordered all the Brigade Games merchant and river boat crews.

So I've got to have one. :D

Now, where can I get the big monkey?

That doesn't look like it would be too hard to scratch build :) And it would definitely be cheaper!  :)  :)    :)  :)

I would love to see some scratch built ones, and I would do one myself, but I don't play this period.... :/

I agree, the steamer is screaming 'scratch build me'.

If you are just looking for one steamer, go for the paper Reviresco one.  It looks a bit better than the OG resin one, has lots of fittings included, is already printed in color so you don't have to go through so much work painting it (but still need to paint the fittings), and it's cheaper.

But if you have an OG Army discount and need a second merchant ship then this one looks fine.

Yes, at those prices one is *very* motivated to scratch build their own tramp steamer from plastic card, rod and balsa wood sheet quite frankly.

Once again Tintin would provide some good reference material I believe :)

At all those who talk about scratchbuilding a steamer: Ask the Professor... I have heard that somebody just scratchbuilt a decent tramp steamer for him... maybe heŽll show pictures... ;)

I honestly don't think it would be that difficult. The hardest part of scratch building any vessel is of course getting the hull shape nicely curved, and symmetrical. Looking at the OG tramp steamer I note it has a pretty simple hull shape...

The rest of the superstructure would simply be an exercise in the usual building creation skills any serious Pulp gamer should exercise :)

Horrors, I think I feel another scratching building project on the horizon! Hey maybe we should run an informal forum competition! Who's with me

I'd be willing to sponsor a scratch-build a tramp steamer competition uf there would be enough people willing to give it a go.
