I guess this movie is going to be a great source of inspiration for our Future Wars games  :-*

...these aren't just normal aliens that are out to tear humans apart. They have tactics and weaponry as well and can be considered an extraterrestrial version of the human marine battalion we follow in the movie that's fighting them

Intresting to bad there is no video or any thing out yet
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

There is a 'real' event called the Battle of Los Angeles.

Happened during WW2.

This looks very interesting however.

Sounds pretty damn sweet. And, I thought no one would ever do a serious, science fiction military movie any time soon. Well, from the sounds of it I've found it.

Yes i so looking forward to the trailer and what type of aliens, it could bve a "ID4" but with ground battles..

The problem is Alien troops..?

I wish somebody do a plastic boxset of some, maybe like from dristict 9.

Until then its going to be hard to build up a cheap alien force...

Yes its very short, but shows ita not a straight to dvd type film, so me, i always wanted a alien invsion film, but never got one, the best for action would be District 9, i think thats thank for ground combat alien invasion films really....

How about the COGs from AT-43?

Until then its going to be hard to build up a cheap alien force...

It depends what style of alien you are looking for and your definition of cheap.

There are lots of plastic clickies around, a choice of plastic aliens from SW and if you prefer metal, you can't find much chepaer than SPUGs.

COGS are too much £23.00 for 4 figures, but those spugs may be a nice option, i need to get a pack and see how they paint up, maybe a nice light brown/ sand colour, but the weapons look fine.. Thanks for that

I've got a cog exo-suit as a proxy for the D9 suit, nice and all but as set, very expensive to build up a sizeable force.

Depends where and when you buy 'em.  ;)

The Armybox is good value and at Salute Simple Miniature Games will probably be doing one of their "buy N and save £X" deals if you can wait one month?
